Frank Sinatra to Forrest Frank
(and why I write)

I’m a mix of an old soul and a modern-day princess.

For years, I’ve collected antiques—postcards from WW2, letters from the Civil War, vintage records, and 150-year-old books. I love tap dancing and swing music and American history. I grew up on Leave it to Beaver, and it’s still my favorite show to unwind with. I have attended antique car shows almost yearly. And from the age of 15, I knew my dream car would be a 1957 Ford Fairlane. (Still working on that, haha.)

But…

I also love living life in today’s world. The thrill of concerts and running barefoot and jeans on horseback and contemporary tunes (fK&C, anyone?). Dancing my heart out and singing my way through life. Connecting with people around the world, and thinking up new ways to use storytelling and creativity with all the developments in social media, content creating, and tech. We live in such exciting times, history being made pretty much daily.

All in all, my stories encapsulate my many facets – stories of cozy vintage and colorful contemporary… and most of the time, a splash of Christmas too.

So welcome, whether you’re an old soul or modern through and through, or a unique mix of both like me.

May my stories be a place you find bits of yourself in.
And maybe feel at home too.

I know how hard it is to find a good story…

  • Hours upon hours of searching through bookstores, blogs, and libraries, yet only satisfied with a few novels (which I read all too quickly, left to search once again).
  • The rest of my findings were either easy-read material for kids or adult books with too-heavy topics.
  • There were also some YA, but they weren’t really my preferred genre.

This is where I come in:

  • I write stories that are safe for teens & preteens, but also enjoyable for adults.
  • My stories convey relatable struggles with depth and emotion, yet do so in a way that is mindful and gentle on the soul.
  • Cozy stories of courage and hope, with a nostalgic and heartwarming feel.

My bio

Nicole started her writing adventure in 1st grade, stapling together printer paper to create her own little booklets, but it wasn’t until an 8th grade composition class that she realized writing might be more than something she did just for fun.

Years later, she now writes devotionals, poetry, and blends historical & contemporary fiction to create stories of hope and heart that feel like home. When not writing, Nicole loves curling up with a mug of hot cocoa year round, listening to her favorite songs on repeat, and creating content for her Instagram—combining her love of dance, photography, and storytelling.
